Niagara County is soliciting a contractor to furnish and install interior galvanized chain-link security fencing extending from existing mezzanine guardrails and open stairways to the ceilings in four occupied correctional-facility holding pods. The specified work includes 2-inch, 9-gauge galvanized chain-link fabric; steel posts, top and intermediate rails; steel angles and anchorage; tamper-proof connections; and associated metal fabrication and installation. The base bid covers Pod 3, with separate alternates for Pods 4, 1, and 2. The contractor must coordinate work with the Sheriff's Office, maintain facility security, perform work during the approved 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. work window, submit a work schedule, accommodate background checks and escorted access, and secure each cell block at the end of every workday. Prevailing wages apply. The bid requires technical product information, references for similar projects, a bid guarantee, required certifications and affidavits, and compliance with specified insurance, bonding, warranty, and submittal requirements.
