Description
The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is seeking proposals for a tire leasing program that includes on-site service and support. The selected vendor will be responsible for furnishing, inspecting, and maintaining a replacement supply of tires for KCATA's fleet of approximately 184 buses. The contract is anticipated to be for three years with two one-year option periods. The scope of services includes providing new tires, managing tire inventory, and addressing tire heat issues. KCATA currently operates various bus models, including large, small, and cutaway styles, and the vendor will need to supply tires suitable for these diverse needs. The program will operate on a cost-per-mileage basis.
