The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is soliciting proposals from qualified law firms to provide a range of legal services. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with four one-year extension options, totaling up to five years. Services requested include general legal services, employment and labor law, real estate, environmental law, fixed guideway and economic development and implementation law, intellectual property, federal grant funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and related issues, workers' compensation litigation, bus accident litigation conflict counsel, vehicle/bus accident litigation services, and bond counsel services. Law firms are encouraged to submit proposals for one or more of these general areas and any sub-area(s) within them.
