Description
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation is seeking one construction management firm for two related projects: complete replacement of the Building 203 steam-generating backup plant and renovation of the Building 365 electrical substation and steam boiler. The selected firm will provide preconstruction and estimating services, construction and post-construction services, subcontract procurement and administration, construction management and supervision, final acceptance, and project closeout. The work includes demolition and new construction for Building 203 and renovation and equipment replacement for Building 365, with compliance required under the Brooklyn Navy Yard site management, excavation, health and safety, and community air monitoring plans. The proposal must include technical qualifications, relevant construction-management experience, five comparable projects from the last ten years with client references, project approach, staffing and organizational information, resumes, a detailed project schedule, fee proposal, and specified completed forms and certifications. Attendance at the mandatory pre-submission conference is a condition of submitting a proposal. The project is funded through the FEMA Public Assistance Program, Project Worksheet 4273, and the solicitation encourages locally based enterprises and minority- and women-owned businesses, including as subcontractors or subconsultants.
