Description
The City of Arlington is soliciting proposals from medical providers experienced in fire-service occupational medicine to establish an annual requirements contract for comprehensive health and fitness assessments for Arlington Fire Department uniformed personnel. The anticipated workload includes approximately 500 annual evaluations, up to 75 recruit or candidate examinations, up to 75 communications personnel hearing and vision evaluations, medical fitness-for-duty evaluations, follow-up evaluations, and other occupational medical services as requested. Required capabilities include medical and occupational histories, physical examinations, laboratory testing, vision and hearing testing, pulmonary function testing, infectious-disease and behavioral-health screening, body-composition analysis, maximal cycle-ergometer cardiopulmonary exercise testing, imaging and diagnostic services, medical fitness determinations, physician consultations, and follow-up recommendations. The contractor must maintain secure electronic medical records, individual and aggregate reporting, longitudinal data tracking, trend analysis, data export, and authorized medical access. Proposals must identify qualified clinical leadership and key personnel, provide resumes, describe facilities and subcontractors, and include itemized pricing for required and optional services. Services must comply with NFPA 1580, applicable Texas requirements, and the Department-approved evaluation protocol.
