Description
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District intends to issue a noncompetitive negotiated purchase order for four replacement hi-rail wheels and associated hardware for a John Deere 180CW hi-rail excavator. The specified new parts, including manufacturer warranties, are four B-1262 wheels, one B-3000 spacer bearing, one B-1243 spacer, four B1557-1 spacer/locknut/axle components, and two B-1557-2 axle lock washers. The estimated total purchase value is $21,472.12 including delivery. The notice identifies Rail Construction Equipment Co. as the only authorized provider or dealer currently understood to be able to supply the parts. Other vendors may submit a written capability response solely to demonstrate that they can legally supply or fabricate the specified parts and potentially prompt a competitive procurement; the notice is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. The response must include vendor identification and contact information, a statement of capabilities, and convincing supporting documentation demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed the requirements.
