Description
The Town of Bridgewater is seeking firm-price tenders for the supply and delivery of one new backhoe loader, model year 2026 or newer, with pricing in Canadian funds and delivery to the Public Works Garage at 134 St. Phillips Street, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The Town may consider a trade-in of its 2010 John Deere backhoe loader with approximately 9,455 hours. The equipment must include manufacturer data, warranty information, safety inspection, registration and licensing, operator and service manuals, a full tank of fuel, and operator/mechanic training by a factory-trained technician or licensed mechanic. Provisional pricing is requested for additional rims, auxiliary attachments, a quick coupler, a hydraulic thumb, load-holding valves, extended warranty, and snow-removal equipment. Bidders must be manufacturers, factory branches, or dealers engaged in selling, dealing in, and servicing the equipment, with parts stock and factory-certified technicians. The submission must address equipment compliance, delivery time, warranty terms, parts availability, field-service capabilities, and added value. The Town requires three similar-equipment references from the past three years and a list of similar municipal clients from the past five years. The successful proponent must maintain commercial general liability and automobile insurance of at least $5,000,000 per occurrence and provide a current WCB clearance letter or exemption letter. The tender is evaluated on technical response and price, with technical response weighted at 30% and pricing at 70%.
