Description
Chesterfield County is soliciting sealed bids for six new, current-production motor graders for its Public Works operations. Each unit must have an engine rated at no less than 160 net horsepower and meet the detailed specifications in the bid package, including a 12-foot moldboard, Tier 4 engine, cab, air conditioning, lighting, wipers, backup camera, mirrors, and related equipment. Bidders must provide pricing for the base equipment and listed options, identify exceptions, and submit current printed specifications and advertising literature. The purchase includes delivery, manuals, warranty coverage, maintenance and repair cost information, a three-year buy-back arrangement, trade-in allowances for existing equipment, and life-cycle-costing information. The solicitation also requires parts, service and operator manuals, a parts drop box, transportation support, and a replacement machine if a grader is down for 72 hours. A bid submission must include the completed bid form and life-cycle-costing worksheet, applicable bid surety documentation, and the proposed equipment literature.
