Description
The State University of New York at Oneonta (SUNY Oneonta) is soliciting bids for comprehensive refuse removal and single-stream recycling services. This includes the collection, legal removal, and disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials such as mixed paper, cardboard, glass, metal, and plastic. The scope of services covers academic and residential buildings on campus, with specific requirements for container types, collection schedules (Monday, Wednesday, Friday for refuse; Tuesday and/or Friday for recycling), and verification of actual tonnage collected via certified scales. The contract will also include metal recycling services and requires the contractor to provide new or like-new equipment. The university is committed to sustainability and may request support for waste reduction initiatives. Bidders must have a minimum of five years of experience in refuse removal and recycling services and provide at least four references from similar organizations.
