Description
The contractor will provide as-needed concrete and asphalt crushing services for the Correctional Construction Mentorship Program, including crushing concrete with and without rebar to produce a 3/4-inch base and asphalt grinding. The contractor must provide and operate the crushing plant and equipment, including delivery, setup, mobilization, and demobilization. Work will be requested with 30 days' notice and performed by equipment operators on site Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding weekends and state holidays. The buyer will provide water and escorts for trucks and equipment. Bidders must submit rates for every item on the provided rate sheet. The agreement has an estimated value of $550,000, with services anticipated to begin January 1, 2027, or upon approval, whichever is later, and an end date of December 31, 2029. The contractor must maintain a California Motor Carrier Permit when applicable. Insurance evidence and certificates are required before contract approval and work begins; these are post-award requirements, not bid-submission items.
