Description
Snohomish County Public Utility District is soliciting proposals from contractors on its Small Works Roster and prequalified for A-1 overhead line construction, distribution, 12kV work. The project requires replacing 39 depreciated distribution poles on Camano Island, including labor, equipment, tools, transportation, incidental materials, pole installation, grounding, utility transfers, traffic control, excavation and backfill, pavement and property restoration, erosion and sedimentation controls, material handling, and disposal or return of removed materials. The District will furnish standard system materials and equipment, while the contractor must provide labor, trucks, tools, backfill, restoration, BMP materials, and other specified materials. The contractor must provide record drawings, a temporary field office, qualified line personnel and equipment, outage coordination, weekly construction reports, a safety site plan, and a construction schedule. The proposal requires pricing for the 39 pole work orders, record drawings, and specified standby or additional-work crew rates, along with bidder information, subcontractors, personnel and equipment, similar project experience, surety information, and the Washington minimum-wage compliance certification. The engineer's estimate is $250,000, and the successful bidder must provide performance security equal to 100% of the total contract price, including tax.
