Description
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, for Everett Community College, is soliciting a lump-sum bid for hardscape repairs at the occupied campus. The scope includes repairs to the Parks Student Union northwest-entry stairs; replacement of the east stair and demolition and replacement of planter-wall sections at Index Lawn; stair and planter-wall repairs at Liberty Hall; brick bench repairs near the Student Fitness Center; and concrete wall infill and aluminum window installation at Pilchuck Hall. Work includes selective demolition, concrete stair and paving repairs, masonry work, joint sealants, earthwork, temporary barriers, site protection, and related construction activities. The estimated bid cost range is $100,000 to $110,000. The contract requires substantial completion within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and final completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion. Bids must include the required online bid information, Wage Theft Prevention Form, Bidder Compliance Form, Bid Form/pricing, and bid guarantee when applicable. A bid guarantee of 5% of the base bid is required when the base bid plus additive alternates exceeds $35,000; acceptable forms include a bid bond, postal money order, certified check, or cashier’s check. Payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract award amount plus state sales tax are required unless the contract sum is $150,000 or less and the owner accepts retainage in lieu of bonds.
