Description
The City seeks one or more vendors to provide citywide, as-needed uniform rental and laundering services for approximately 1,886 employees across multiple departments. The scope includes work pants, shirts, jackets, aprons, protective electrical clothing, lab coats, coveralls, shop rags, and floor mats, with specialized options such as flame-resistant, high-visibility, moisture-wicking, and non-standard-size garments. The vendor must provide garment fitting and initial issuance, weekly pickup, laundering, pressing, delivery, repairs and replacements, inventory tracking, and an online portal for garment tracking, reports, requests, scheduling, and invoices. Some items are also available for direct purchase. Proposals must include a proposed solution, pricing, required forms and questionnaires, references, and any contract exceptions. The City will evaluate qualifications and experience, the proposed solution, cost and value, SBE inclusion efforts, and acceptance of contract terms. The sample contract provides for an initial two-year term with up to two additional two-year renewal terms. The RFP states that services are expected to commence in March 2027.
