Description
The State seeks professional dry cleaning, laundering, pressing, stain treatment, and minor garment repairs for sworn law enforcement officers’ uniforms and related garments. Services cover formal, duty, tactical, and specialized outerwear, with military creases required on shirts and pants, starch required for white cotton/polyester shirts, and garments returned on hangers in clear plastic covers. Vendors must provide garment tracking, handle heavily soiled and perspiration-affected items, and follow garment care labels for outerwear. The scope covers officers assigned across 14 statewide sections. Vendors may bid for individual counties and must be physically located in the city or region for which they bid; the agency prefers two drop-off/pickup locations per section. Officers are responsible for dropping off and collecting garments at designated locations, with next-day pickup preferred or a set schedule established. Monthly itemized invoices and signed work tickets are required. Multiple awards are anticipated, based on the lowest bid per county, and the contract term is five years.
