NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals (BID/RFP) will be received by the County of Sussex on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. prevailing time in the Sussex County Office of Purchasing, 1st Floor, 1 Spring Street, Newton, NJ 07860 at which time and place proposals (BID/RFP) will be opened and read in public according to law for Bid: Uniform Supply and Laundry Service Specifications and other bid information may be obtained online at sussex.bonfirehub.com. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Description
Sussex County is soliciting proposals for a uniform rental and laundry service covering the Division of Public Works, Office of Bridge and Traffic Safety, Division of Facilities Management, and Office of Fleet Management. The contractor must provide new uniforms initially, maintain comparable replacement garments, take employee measurements, supply storage lockers and laundry bins, apply county and department identification patches, and provide weekly pickup, laundering, repair, replacement, and delivery services. Uniforms must be clean, pressed, properly fitted, delivered on hangers, and returned within the required weekly cycle. The scope includes shirts, pants, jackets, sweatshirts, hats, flame-resistant garments, and other specified workwear, with brand-name-or-equivalent products permitted. The contract is effective January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with two additional consecutive one-year renewal options. Pricing is submitted by department and calculated as an annual lump sum based on 52 weeks; quantities are estimates and do not guarantee a minimum or maximum contract value. The solicitation requires specified proposal forms, a PDF proposal file, and submission through either the Bonfire portal or sealed mail/hand delivery. Insurance requirements include workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability coverage, with certificates required before contract execution.
