Description
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a designated CFO support lead and an Assistant Finance Officer of Budget resource to provide transitional financial leadership and operational support. Work includes maintaining financial routines, advising staff on governmental accounting and internal controls, supporting budget operations and development, allotments and leveling, audit work, financial reporting, and transition planning. The provider will coordinate workflows, meetings, action tracking, and follow-through while the district retains personnel supervision and institutional authority; duties requiring official approvals, signatures, or certifications require separate authorization. The initial term is four months, beginning on the later of final contract execution or November 1, 2026. The district may renew for up to five additional months, but continuation is not automatic and requires written approval. Services are planned within an allowance of up to 220 hours per month. The CFO support lead must work on site one full day every other week, and the budget resource must attend the monthly management review in person. Pricing is requested by role and month, with all travel costs included. The response must include a technical approach, experience and personnel qualifications, pricing, references, and the specified completed attachments.
