Description
The City seeks a contractor to repair and rehabilitate structural components of the wastewater facility’s headworks building. Work includes demolition and replacement of deteriorated concrete, partial-depth slab, wall, column, and beam repairs, epoxy injection of concrete cracks, and replacement of equipment pedestals and selected metal doors. The bid schedule also includes removal of chemical storage tanks and related pedestals, steel cleaning and epoxy coating, replacement of joint sealants and expansion-joint flashing, and painting exterior metal doors. The project also requires high-performance wall coatings, pedestrian traffic coatings, waterproofing in the chemical storage room, and chemical-resistant epoxy coatings in confined spaces. The contractor must provide a 10% bid deposit, hold a valid California Class B contractor’s license, and comply with the City’s Community Workforce Agreement. Payment and performance bonds of 100% of the contract price are required after award. The stated construction allocation is $3,459,400; the contract duration is 190 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
