Description
Wayne County Community College District is soliciting sealed bids from trade contractors and suppliers for Phase 1 of an occupied university center renovation and expansion. The project is divided into trade packages, including selective demolition, masonry, site concrete and civil work, miscellaneous metals, general trades, waterproofing, roofing, metal panels, glass and glazing, tiling, painting, exterior signage, countertops, window treatments, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical/HVAC, and electrical, fire alarm, and low-voltage work. Bidders should price the specific trade package they are proposing and account for the labor, materials, equipment, coordination, and other requirements in the contract documents. The proposal must include a signed proposal page, proof of at least three years in business, proof of business insurance, at least three references, the College-provided Addendum to Independent Contractor Agreement, a detailed schedule, and other items as applicable. A financial statement and bid guarantee are required for bids of $50,000 or more; the bid guarantee is 5% of the total base bid. The solicitation also requires a notarized familial-relationships affidavit. The pre-bid site inspection is strongly recommended, not stated as mandatory. The selected respondent must provide an IRS Form W-9 after selection.
