Description

Escambia County is soliciting a complete engineered pre-engineered metal building system for a new fire station. The scope includes primary and secondary structural framing, roof purlins, standing-seam metal roof panels, wall girts and metal wall panels for brick backup, fascia, soffit and ceiling liner panels, anchors, bracing, insulation, and associated structural components. The work also includes delegated engineering by a Florida-licensed professional engineer, signed and sealed calculations and shop drawings, fabrication, delivery, coordination with the construction documents, and complete erection. The system must meet the project’s structural and architectural requirements, including apparatus-bay clearances and coordination with building systems and exterior assemblies. Bidders must identify anticipated lead time and provide a bid security equal to 5% of the total bid. The solicitation also requires a bid form, references, subcontractor information, specified certifications and affidavits, business credentials, insurance evidence or a letter of insurability, and a current W-9. Performance and payment bonds and final insurance documents are required from the successful bidder after award, not with the bid.
