]It is the purpose of this contract to provide all labor, materials, equipment and traffic control necessary for rehabilitation of one (1) water tower located in Medina, Ohio, owned by the Board of Medina County Commissioners with all related work referenced in the detail specifications.

Description
Medina County Sanitary Engineers is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of one 750,000-gallon fluted-column elevated water storage tank. The work includes abrasive blasting and recoating of the exterior, wet interior, dry interior, and concrete foundation; containment and environmental controls; grout repairs; replacement or installation of manway and hatch gaskets, handholds, deflector bars, a mud valve, overflow flap gate, wet-interior ladder, roof vent screens, roof handrail, painter's railing, and dry-interior LED light bulbs; and removal and reinstallation of the cathodic protection system and mechanical mixer. The tank must be completed by June 30, 2027. Bidders must submit pricing for the eight listed schedule-of-values items, a completed bid package, bid guaranty, experience record, preliminary bar-chart construction schedule, and required signatures. The project is subject to Ohio prevailing-wage requirements, insurance requirements, a 100-percent contract bond after award, and a 50-percent two-year maintenance/warranty bond. The solicitation requires prequalification of coating contractors with Dixon Engineering and permits only preapproved products and installers for the specified coating work.
