Description
The City of Norton is soliciting sealed bids for mowing and care of public land, including the City Building Complex, museum, parks, cemeteries, and other City properties. Services include weekly mowing, trimming, edging, debris and leaf removal, cleanup of paved surfaces, cemetery and athletic-field maintenance, and additional mowing around holidays. An alternate bid covers removal of tall grass, weeds, underbrush, litter, and debris from developed and undeveloped lots. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision, including specified mowing and trimming equipment, blowers, weed eaters, GPS units on applicable trucks, and trained personnel. The solicitation requires equipment and service compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety requirements, background checks and substance-abuse screening for employees, insurance coverage, and submission of equipment, references, and management-experience information. The contract is for one year beginning January 1, 2027, with two one-year renewals.
