Description
The City of Fairlawn is soliciting bids for roadway improvements on Smith Road (County Highway 116), including pavement removal and construction, excavation and embankment, asphalt and concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, curb ramps, storm sewers and drainage structures, pavement markings, traffic control, and traffic signal removal and installation. The project also includes construction layout and surveying, mobilization, pre- and post-construction video, and related incidental work. The project is federally funded and requires compliance with prevailing-wage, Buy America, ODOT, and other federal-aid construction provisions. Bidders must be ODOT-prequalified prime contractors, provide a valid Certificate of Qualification, submit a 5% SBE Utilization Plan, and perform at least 30% of the original contract price with their own organization. The engineer’s estimate is $665,939, and the project must be completed by August 20, 2027.
