Description
The City of Knoxville is seeking multiple qualified community-based organizations to provide coordinated, trauma-informed, person-centered services for individuals and families at elevated or imminent risk of firearm violence, retaliation, or other impacts from community-based violence. Proposers may respond to one or more of five independently evaluated service areas: hospital-linked intervention, life coaching, violence interruption, emergency housing and relocation, and victim support and stabilization. Services may include rapid hospital referral response and bedside engagement; intensive coaching, assessment, outreach, and individualized life planning; conflict mediation, crisis response, street outreach, and retaliation prevention; confidential emergency lodging, relocation, transportation, and participant assistance; and victim advocacy, case management, compensation assistance, stabilization, behavioral-health connections, and other practical supports. Providers must identify their proposed service areas, staffing and availability, referral processes, participant capacity, outcomes, budgets, organizational experience, partnerships, and performance-reporting approach. Multiple awards may be made, including multiple providers within a service area. The solicitation is funded through a U.S. Department of Justice grant and includes applicable federal requirements.
