Description
The Town of Davidson is soliciting letters of interest from qualified professional consulting firms for the Beaty Street–Main Street Intersection Improvements Project. The scope includes surveying, geotechnical and environmental services, roadway and streetscape design, pavement and pavement-marking plans, traffic signal design, subsurface utility engineering, utility coordination, roadway lighting, hydrologic and hydraulic design, and related services. The project will realign Beaty Street, North Main Street, and Ridge Road; widen North Main Street to accommodate dedicated left-turn lanes; add a traffic signal; and improve pedestrian facilities near a future Charlotte Area Transit System Red Line railway crossing. The selected firm must meet applicable North Carolina registration and professional qualification requirements, and professional engineers responsible for the work must be registered in North Carolina. Subconsultants are permitted. The submission is a letter of interest limited to 20 pages, including the cover sheet but excluding RS-2 forms, and must address team qualifications, team experience, technical approach, and budget/cost-control experience. The proposed contract is a lump-sum, 360-day engagement beginning upon notice to proceed. Professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 is required.
