Description
The City of Sarasota is soliciting stop-loss coverage for its self-funded health plan. The requested coverage is on a 24/12 contract basis and includes medical and prescription drug coverage, $250,000 and $275,000 individual stop-loss options, aggregate coverage with a 125% corridor, a 50% rate cap, an NNL provision, and a specific advance rider. Medicare-eligible retirees are excluded from stop-loss coverage. The plan covers approximately 747 employees and 265 retirees. Proposers must submit their best and final rates, net of commissions. Census data, claim reports, benefit summaries, and the existing stop-loss policy are available upon request.
