Description
San Juan County is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance brokers to develop, market, place, and administer its property and casualty insurance program. Required capabilities include coverage analysis and recommendations, insurer marketing and negotiations, policy and endorsement review, premium and payment administration, certificates and audits, loss-control support, claims and reserve reviews, risk management advice, account management, and maintenance of required bonds. The broker must not solicit insurance pricing before selection, although it may contact insurers to confirm coverage availability. The requested program may include property, inland marine, equipment breakdown, computer, commercial automobile, general liability, employee benefits liability, public entity employment practices and management liability, law enforcement, sexual abuse and molestation, crime, cyber crime, umbrella, workers' compensation, helicopter, and other legally required coverage. The proposal must include a transmittal or cover letter, required forms, a written response to the scope, three client references, customer-service and additional-services information, key personnel qualifications, additional proposal content, and a cost proposal with full compensation disclosure. One original, five copies, and one electronic copy on a flash drive are required. The electronic copy must be organized by proposal section and may use PDF, DOC, or XLS files.
