Description
The City of Redmond is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from civil engineering firms for preliminary and final design of traffic-calming and pedestrian-safety improvements. The scope includes roadway channelization and narrowed vehicle lanes, two mid-block pedestrian crossings with rectangular rapid-flashing beacons, and three mini or modular roundabouts in the Downtown and Southeast Redmond urban centers. The agreement is expected to run for approximately 12 months, from January through December 2027, with potential extensions for additional time and funding. Evaluation will consider the proposed project manager, firm qualifications, schedule, project approach, familiarity with WSDOT and FHWA standards, past performance and references, and the approach to meeting the voluntary 10% SBE goal. The project is federally funded and includes ADA, Civil Rights, and federal EEO requirements; the selected firm must enter into the applicable WSDOT local-agency A&E professional-services negotiated hourly-rate agreement.
