Description

Spring Branch Independent School District is soliciting proposals under RFP 17031 for a broad Category 2 network upgrade. The requested scope includes switches and necessary software and licenses, wireless access points and necessary software and licenses, routers and necessary software and licenses, cabling, antennas, connectors, and related components. The Form 470 lists estimated quantities including 1,250 switches, 5,500 wireless access points, two routers, 10,000 feet of cabling in multiple requests, and various quantities of antennas, connectors, and related components. Proposed equipment may be Aruba or equivalent for switches, wireless access points, and related components, and Juniper Networks or equivalent for routers. Installation and initial configuration are identified for the internal-connections equipment requests. The solicitation also identifies applicable basic maintenance of internal connections for the proposed switches, cabling, wireless access points, routers, antennas, connectors, and related components; the district is not soliciting separate bids for maintenance or managed internal broadband services.
