Description
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is seeking a contractor to remove 33 marked hazardous trees and trim vegetation along approximately 8,900 feet of park-owned power lines at James Baird State Park. Tree trimming must maintain clearances of 10 feet below, 10 feet to each side, and 15 feet above the lines; Line Clearance Arborist Certification is required for work within 10 feet of energized lines. Branches must be chipped in place except in designated wetlands, and no stump grinding, backfilling, or stump removal is required. The contractor must have at least five years of tree-removal and tree-trimming experience, and the supervisor must have at least five years of tree-removal experience. The scope also includes protecting utilities and surrounding structures, repairing damage, providing traffic control, fencing, signage, staffing, employee PPE, and controlling work areas. A site visit is mandatory before submission. The RFQ response must be completed on the provided form; additional certifications are required if the quote is $15,000 or more.
