Description
The Arkansas Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for a hydraulic-driven chemical and material spreader with a 4.5 cubic yard capacity. The spreader must be constructed of 304 stainless steel and include a liquid calcium chloride spray system designed to operate on 12 volts DC. Key features include a hopper body with a minimum struck capacity of 4.5 cubic yards, dual 7-inch augers with stainless steel covers, and a urethane spinner with a minimum diameter of 18 inches. The unit must be designed for mounting in dump trucks with specific interior dimensions and include all necessary components for satisfactory operation, including operator and repair manuals. The manufacturer must have been in business for at least two years and have recently sold similar units to domestic governmental agencies. The awarded vendor will be responsible for maintaining replacement parts inventory and service facilities. A warranty of at least twelve months covering parts, labor, and transportation is required.
