Description
The 19th Maintenance Squadron requires a horizontal bandsaw with specific capabilities including a capacity of 16"x20" at 90 degrees, a 5,000 lbs weight capacity, and a blade speed range of 60-425 SFPM. The machine should feature a semi-automatic operation, a built-in coolant system, and rollers and carbide side blocks for blade guides. It must also include a blade-powered rotary cleaning brush and manual blade tension with an indicator. The drive system should be a 7 1/2 HP AC Vector Drive with a fused disconnect and lockout. The vise is manual, and the sawing force is adjustable between 30-120 lbs. The blade drive is 7 1/2 HP, 3-phase, with quick and easy blade speed changes. The hydraulic drive is 1/3 HP. The work height should be 26 inches, and the coolant capacity is 15 gallons. The hydraulic capacity is 3/4 gallon. The machine dimensions are 97" L x 49" W x 83" H, with a shipping weight of 2,100 lbs. A console-controlled blade speed and a blade guide system with rollers and carbide side blocks are also specified. The machine should have all safety guards with door interlocks, and an automatic end-of-cut shut down. Operator manual and parts list, along with factory-trained start-up instructions, are required.
