Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a potential firm-fixed-price blanket purchase agreement covering mortuary services for unclaimed or indigent veterans under VA or VA-authorized care. Services include removal and transportation of remains, refrigeration and storage, embalming and other preparation, casketing, cremation and urn provision when requested, and delivery for interment or inurnment. The contractor must provide suitable facilities, licensed funeral personnel, compliant transport vehicles, and the required permits and licenses. The scope includes burial at Eagle Point National Cemetery, with limited burial-related services at another location when specified conditions apply. Responses must include company and contact details, UEI, business-size and socioeconomic status information, a courtesy quote for the base period plus four option years, and a capabilities statement addressing the statement of work. This is a Sources Sought notice for market research, not a solicitation for contract award.
