Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks one physician to provide temporary, in-house medical care for adults in custody at FCI Marion. Duties include complete physical examinations, medical and social history collection, physical assessments, diagnostic testing and treatment, medication management, specialist and hospital referrals, patient reports and evaluations, and thorough electronic medical-record documentation. Services must comply with accepted medical standards, applicable federal and state requirements, Bureau of Prisons policies, and correctional healthcare standards. The contractor is expected to provide approximately 20 one-hour sessions per week, generally over two days per week, for up to 120 workdays during the base period and up to 120 workdays during one 12-month option period. The physician must hold a current, valid medical license and meet the stated qualification, credentialing, privileging, security, orientation, and facility-access requirements. The quote must identify the proposed physician and include qualification documentation, a resume, references, and a certificate of liability insurance. Medical liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate is required. Award will be based on aggregate price and past performance, and the requirement is a total small-business set-aside.
