The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires a contractor for Project Number 657-507 to correct seismic deficiencies for Building 14 at the Marion VA Medical Center in Illinois. The scope includes complete construction of a new boiler plant (Building 14) and demolition and removal of the existing plant. The contractor shall provide all planning, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and expertise required. Work will be performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications, as well as all applicable local, state, federal, and VA codes and standards. The contract is a firm fixed price with a period of performance of 548 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $45,000,000. The construction magnitude is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Evaluation factors include Organizational/Technical Approach & Schedule, Key Personnel, Relevant Experience, Past Performance, and Price. The government intends to award without discussions but reserves the right to conduct them.
