Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a sources-sought notice for annual inspection, testing, reporting, and repair or replacement of all backflow prevention devices at the Marion VA Medical Center. The contractor must field-verify the device inventory during the initial inspection cycle, document each device's location, identification, manufacturer, model, serial number, size, and actual PSI or differential-pressure readings, and report discrepancies in writing. Work must comply with VHA Directive 1061, NFPA 25, Joint Commission standards, applicable Illinois plumbing and public-water-supply regulations, and City of Marion plumbing codes. Inspections, testing, repairs, and replacements must be performed by technicians holding current Illinois EPA Cross-Connection Control Device Inspector certification or equivalent ASSE 5110/5130 certification. Testing equipment must be calibrated at least annually by an accredited calibration source, with certificates available upon request. The notice requests company information, UEI, business size and socioeconomic status, applicable federal contract vehicles, and capabilities demonstrating the required licensing; it is not a solicitation or an offer for award.
