Description
The City of Norwich is soliciting proposals for a complete flooring improvement project at Greeneville Fire Station 2. The work may include inspecting existing flooring and substrates; refinishing, sealing, coating, polishing, or repairing suitable flooring; removing damaged flooring and adhesives; repairing substrates and transitions; furnishing and installing new commercial-grade flooring; installing thresholds, base materials, and related components; protecting adjacent areas; disposing of debris; cleaning affected areas; and providing care, maintenance, and applicable manufacturer warranties. Contractors may propose refinishing/restoration, repair with partial replacement, complete replacement, or another combination of solutions. Proposed materials may include commercial vinyl tile or plank, sheet flooring, rubber, epoxy or resinous systems, tile, hardwood, carpet, or other durable commercial flooring systems, with consideration given to durability, maintenance, moisture resistance, slip resistance, appearance, and lifecycle cost. The fire station will remain operational during the project. The contractor must coordinate with the Norwich Fire Department, protect entrances, exits, emergency egress routes, and apparatus access, minimize disruption, and phase the work as necessary. Proposals must include contractor information, observed conditions, the recommended approach, proposed areas and materials, preparation methods, scope, exclusions and assumptions, lump-sum installed pricing for each proposed option, schedule and duration, operational-phasing plan, warranties, at least three comparable commercial or municipal flooring references, anticipated subcontractors if applicable, and the non-collusion affidavit.
