Description
Ysleta Independent School District is seeking multiple qualified charter bus vendors to provide as-needed transportation for school-related functions, including athletic events, educational field trips, UIL events, and extracurricular or social activities. The district may make incremental awards throughout the extended solicitation period as proposals are received and evaluated. Vendors must have sufficient resources to operate multiple charters simultaneously and must provide pricing for buses of various capacities, hourly, mileage, and daily rates, as well as applicable layover, deadhead-mile, overnight-trip, driver, fuel-surcharge, and cancellation fees. Buses and drivers must comply with applicable federal and state requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and United States Department of Transportation requirements. Buses must have functioning heating and air conditioning and clean, operating restrooms. Responses must address equipment, regulatory compliance, insurance, driver screening and qualifications, emergency road-service contingency planning, references, relevant experience, current workload, and other questionnaire requirements. Pricing must be submitted through the electronic bidding system on a not-to-exceed basis and remain firm throughout the contract term unless otherwise stated.
