Description
The project calls for a complete, operational auditorium sound reinforcement system, including procurement of the specified Biamp drive system and installation and integration of District-furnished audio equipment. Work includes speakers, amplifiers, microphones, cabling, associated infrastructure, coordination with existing audiovisual systems, system programming and tuning, commissioning, performance testing, staff training, and closeout documentation. The contractor must provide a separate bid line item for warranty support of owner-furnished, contractor-installed equipment during its initial manufacturer warranty period. Bidders must document firm qualifications and similar completed projects, provide a schedule of values and separate non-equipment costs, identify subcontractors and key personnel, and submit system enhancement recommendations and any specification exceptions. The specifications require the bidder to be an authorized supplier and installer for all equipment and to confirm qualifications with the manufacturer providing the Master Quote. A mandatory pre-bid site walk is required; the Master Quote is provided to attendees. The bid package also requires a bid proposal form, bid security, and specified certifications and supporting items. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds and insurance after award.
