Description
The City of St. George is soliciting bids for a contractor to furnish and operate an impact-type portable crusher, screens, conveyors, stacker, and related equipment to process City-owned asphalt and concrete rubble. The work includes mobilization, sorting, crushing, screening, stockpiling, dust suppression, traffic control, testing, quality control, removal of incidental reinforcing steel, site safety, housekeeping, and final cleanup. Estimated bid quantities are 8,130 tons of asphalt rubble and 7,776 tons of concrete rubble. Finished material must meet the City's specifications for untreated road base, 3/4-inch minus, and asphalt and concrete must be processed and stockpiled separately, with asphalt crushed before concrete. The contractor must provide production, dust-control, noise-control, personnel, and equipment plans; conduct required inspections, silica-dust and noise monitoring, sampling, and testing; and provide related records to the City.
