Description
The City of Lincoln seeks a contractor to install the footings and foundation for its fire and rescue training tower. Work includes mobilization, supervision, temporary controls and layout; earthwork, excavation, dewatering, imported fill and subgrade preparation; reinforced concrete grade beams and foundation; a reinforced tower slab and granular base; foundation coordination, layout verification and a final foundation survey; concrete paving and site restoration; and testing coordination, required inspections, closeout documents and cleanup. Tower anchorage materials, drilling, epoxy installation and anchor survey are excluded, as are special inspection and concrete testing agency fees procured separately by the owner. The bid includes a lump-sum base scope and optional unit prices for additional excavation and soil haul-off, imported structural fill, granular subbase, additional reinforced concrete and reinforcing steel, and concrete pavement restoration. Bidders must price a special one-time-use permit for the Bluff Road landfill for soil disposal. The solicitation clarifies that no interior grade beams or concrete slab inside the grade-beam perimeter are required. Substantial completion is required by December 10, 2026.
