Description
This Sources Sought notice seeks information from firms capable of providing comprehensive hazardous waste management services for the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. The contemplated requirement includes waste collection, characterization and profiling, packaging, labeling, manifesting, transportation, treatment, storage, recycling, energy recovery, disposal, sampling, laboratory analysis, regulatory reporting, documentation, employee training, and management of compliant containers and facilities. The anticipated scope also includes universal, pharmaceutical, chemotherapy, antineoplastic, mixed medical and hazardous, and special medical waste; air quality, mold, asbestos, and hazardous-waste analytical sampling; DOT hazardous-materials training; environmental compliance education; and emergency spill response with on-site response capability within four hours of government notification. Respondents must describe their technical capabilities, facilities, transportation and laboratory resources, geographic coverage, permits and licenses, regulatory compliance, subcontracting approach, and at least three similar contracts performed within the last five years. Responses are limited to 10 pages and must be submitted in PDF format.
