Description
The California Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting quotes from businesses certified by California's Department of General Services as Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises for biohazard waste removal and disposal services at the Veterans Home of California–West Los Angeles. The scope includes weekly biohazardous medical-waste pickup, monthly pharmaceutical-waste and RCRA pharmaceutical-hazardous-waste pickup, container replacement and decontamination, unscheduled emergency pickups within 24 hours, spill response, compliant transportation, treatment, disposal, manifests, and certificates of disposal. The contractor must provide qualified and trained personnel, vehicles, containers, supplies, licenses, permits, certifications, operational and contingency plans, and compliance with applicable medical-waste, hazardous-materials, and other federal, state, and local requirements. The agreement term is April 1, 2027, or the date of approval, whichever is later, through March 31, 2030. Required response materials include the completed rate sheet and specified California payee, certification, DVBE, commercially useful function, and related forms and documentation.
