Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting proposals for the upgrade, modernization, and repair of four elevators at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System Lyons Campus. The project involves three passenger elevators and one service elevator in Buildings 6 and 53, including replacement of controllers, machines, wiring, car operating panels, hall fixtures, door operators, and other components with new, non-proprietary, universally serviceable equipment. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and supervision and comply with applicable VA design manuals and safety and building codes. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and is classified under NAICS 238290 and Product Service Code J039. The contract is a single firm-fixed-price project. Each elevator may not be shut down for more than 13 weeks. The proposal deadline has been extended to September 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.
