Description
Missouri Western State University is requesting proposals for two campus fiber-backbone installation scopes. The work includes approximately 1,850 feet of underground conduit and 2,400 feet of single-mode fiber-optic cable, along with HDPE conduit, underground handholes, tracer wire, fiber housings, panels, and SC-APC terminations. One route connects West Campus Drive to the Kit Bond Incubator building, and the other connects the splice point to the Physical Plant main office building. The contractor must provide equipment, coordinate utility locates and building access, perform concrete or pavement restoration and site reseeding as needed, test and label installed cabling and hardware, and submit shop drawings, testing reports, as-built drawings, and cabling documentation. The work must be completed by December 4, 2026. Prevailing-wage requirements and OSHA construction-safety training requirements apply. A 5% bid bond is required with the proposal; the successful bidder must provide a performance bond and certificates of liability insurance after award and before work begins.
