Description
The City of Ottawa is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified architectural firms or architect-led teams to provide architectural, engineering, and related professional services for a proposed CDBG Blueprint to Build community center at Forest Park. The anticipated facility includes a gymnasium, aquatics and pool space, multipurpose and gathering areas, fitness space, and supporting facilities. The estimated total project cost is approximately $10,750,000, with up to $4,000,000 potentially requested through CDBG funding; final scope, funding, schedule, and contract amount remain subject to funding, approvals, and negotiation. The selected firm is expected to adapt the applicable Kansas Blueprint to Build prototype to the site; provide architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, aquatic/pool, accessibility, code, permitting, and other specialty services; prepare surveys, studies, working drawings, specifications, bidding documents, and cost estimates; assist with procurement and construction bidding; and provide construction-phase services through inspections, closeout, and record documents. Respondents must submit qualifications addressing relevant experience, key personnel, capacity and availability, project approach, public and CDBG-funded work, references, registrations, insurance, subconsultants, and conflicts of interest. Fees must not be included in the Statement of Qualifications; they will be negotiated with the best-qualified firm after selection and subject to CDBG funding.
