Description
The City of Lawrence is soliciting electronic bids for the 2026 Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. The work includes installing seven concrete speed cushions on George Williams Way and Harvard Road and two concrete half speed humps on Kanza Drive, with associated signage and pavement markings. The scope also includes temporary traffic control, roadway demolition while preserving existing curb and gutter, erosion control, mobilization, additional pavement patching, and materials testing. The contractor must complete substantial completion within 35 calendar days and final completion within 70 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. A 5% bid bond is required; the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and statutory bonds and a 50% maintenance bond after substantial completion and before final payment. Required proposal materials include the completed Proposal section, addenda acknowledgment, statement of qualifications, anticipated subcontractors and equipment information, and the required bid bond documentation.
