Description
The City of Colorado Springs, doing business as Mountain Metropolitan Transit, is seeking a commercial flooring contractor to prepare and coat an existing concrete garage floor at its fleet maintenance facility. The updated Schedule A identifies a 15,090-square-foot garage-floor area and 932 square feet of main and bathroom hallways. Work includes pre-construction and mobilization; removal and replacement of existing joint sealants; surface preparation; installation of a moisture-tolerant, vapor-mitigating primer and polyaspartic topcoat; epoxy floor striping; equipment rental; curing, protection, and final cleanup. Optional flooring solutions are also listed in the updated price sheet. Addendum 4 clarifies that the required coating thickness is at least 30 mils (0.030 inches) and that the required finish is a light-gray, solid color. The project requires phased work to maintain facility operations, certified payroll, prevailing wages, insurance, warranty information, and 100% performance, maintenance, labor and materials, and payment bonds. Proposals must include the qualifications documents, Federal Transit Administration certifications, proposers/bidders list, updated Schedule A price sheet, and signed acknowledgment of Addendum 4.
