Description
The Apache Junction Sewer District requires construction of a retention basin with associated earthwork, riprap drainage inlets, and access roads. The project includes excavation of approximately 10,030 cubic yards for the retention basin, construction of 24-foot-wide asphalt and 16-foot-wide gravel access roads, and a 1-foot-wide bottom ditch with 3:1 max side slopes. The basin design parameters specify a bottom elevation of 1547 feet, top elevation of 1550 feet, and a required depth of 2 feet with 1 foot freeboard. The work is part of the AJSD WRF Expansion project.
