Description
The City of DeKalb is soliciting bids for complete demolition and site cleanup of the approximately 32,708-square-foot commercial complex at 148 North Third Street. The work includes demolition of two interconnected structures, removal of basements, foundations, slabs, sidewalks, patios, parking areas, and other site improvements; lawful disposal of demolition debris; utility coordination; and backfilling and restoration with CA-6 or CA-7 aggregate. Public-use sidewalks are to remain in place. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, materials, permits, site plans, safety controls, temporary fencing, dust control, grading, seeding, and an as-built topographical survey. The scope includes compliance with applicable asbestos-removal requirements, prevailing-wage requirements, insurance provisions, and required bid and performance security. Bidders must submit the completed bid sheet, detailed exceptions sheet, all pages of the bid package and attachments, pricing for the specified project tasks, a project start date and duration, and at least five current customer references; references are also required for proposed subcontractors.
