Description
The City of Elgin is soliciting bids for construction of approximately 6,200 linear feet of combined sewer separation work. The scope includes approximately 4,000 feet of storm sewer, 200 feet of sanitary sewer, 5,100 feet of water main, and 5,500 feet of sanitary sewer lining, along with removal or abandonment of existing water and sewer mains, service reconnections, manhole and sewer rehabilitation, stormwater structures, and cured-in-place pipe lining. The project also includes pavement removal, patching, milling, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk work, pavement markings, traffic control, landscaping, parkway restoration, mobilization, and related construction activities. Bidders must submit a 5% bid bond, references for similar projects, required responsible-bidder and employment-related forms, and required insurance documentation. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, comply with Illinois prevailing-wage requirements, and complete substantial work by October 22, 2027, with final completion by November 19, 2027.
